Jason Lewin - Apple > Spotify
My all-time favorite thing to do is listen to music, doesn't matter the time, place, or setting, there's never a wrong time to listen to music. Music has such a variety of genres, from so many diverse artists, with so many interchangeable tones, moods, melodies, beats, and instruments. Whether you're in an excited mood, sorrowful mood, or quite literally any mood, you can always rely on being able to listen to music.
As an avid music listener, I constantly get into argument with my friends on the topic of whether Apple Music is superior to Spotify. If you have an apple device, it simply doesn't make sense to have Spotify. Apple Music is made specifically for iPhones and integrates perfectly with the apple ecosystem. It operates and pairs perfectly with devices like CarPlay, the HomePod, apple-watches, Apple TV, and any other apple devices. Apple Music has a much more unique app logo and the format and coding is much more fitting for a music app. What strongly irritates me is Spotify users who have the audacity to argue that Apple Music is worse, when they dont even have the technology coded well enough to cue up a song next or towards the end of a playlist. And really, who likes listening to commercials and people talking in between every single song? Plus, you only have a certain amount of skips on Spotify when ur listening to a playlist and not subscribed to Spotify premium.
Lastly, Apple Music charges an $100 yearly subduction, while Spotify chargers an $130 yearly subscription. Who would willingly pay an extra $30 dollars a year, for a worse functioning platform? At least like Apple Music, Spotify has options for student discounts and it recommends different types of songs and playlists based off the patterns of music you listen to.
| Do you prefer Apple Music or Spotify and why? |
I understand a few of the points you made, but I have to disagree with some. First, Apple Music doesn't have a unique logo, a music note for a music app is very unoriginal. Second, after a playlist is over, Spotify will play songs that you've shown interest in. Also, you shouldn't complain about the subscription pricing when Apple Music doesn't even offer a free option(unless you count Apple Music radio). I prefer Spotify for a number of reasons, but I see the appeal of Apple Music and understand why you would like it better.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I have to disagree with you. I listen to music almost constantly every day, and I have always been a Spotify user. I’ve found my experiences attempting to use apple music as very difficult because the features of the app do not seem to run as smoothly. Overall, Spotify just feels more normal to use for me.
