Meital Pavolotzky, Week 6: Paper Towels vs Hand Dryers

Everyone has used both at some point but which is better, paper towels or dryers? I personally believe that hand towels are way better. They do not make any loud noises and instead they actually dry your hands. As well, you do not have to wait an eternity for your hands to be somewhat dryer. However, this is just my opinion. 

The facts are that paper towels are actually a lot more sanitary and hygienic then electric dryers. Hand dryers spread bacteria when they blow out the air. On the other hand, paper towels are only touched by one person so they are much more sanitary. As well, hand dryers can actually be bad for your hands. The air can cause irritation in the skin. This would mean excessively dry, rough, or red skin. Many times, this leads people to stop washing their hands as often which makes hand dryers even worse for stopping diseases.

There are, however, a few disadvantages to paper towels. Paper towels are less environmentally friendly then hand dryers. While electric dryers use energy, the waste that paper towels creates can have a huge toll on the environment.

Nonetheless, I believe that paper towels are much better than hand dryers. They are a lot more sanitary and are more effective in preventing sickness. Paper towels take less time to use and they are more productive at drying your hands than electric dryers. Lastly, they do not make any loud sound which makes people more prone to using them and will keep your day more relaxed. Overall, paper towels are the way to go.

    This is a really nice blog! I prefer hand towels over hand dryers because they are more hygienic. I personally find hand dryers ineffective and gross. You wash your hands to wash off the harmful bacteria, so why just put it back on with the hand dryer?

    I thought this was a very nicely written blog. I prefer using hand towels as opposed to hand dryers because I believe they are more sanitary, hygienic, and get the job done more efficiently. You never know what is coming out of the air dryer and you did just washed your hands, so you wouldn't want to get them dirty again.

    Personally, I think it can go either way depending on what type of hand dryer you're using. If we're comparing hand towels and the basic kind, hand towels win for sure. They are easier to use, faster, and often result in dryer hands. However, if we include the specific kind of dryer where you stick your hands in it, then I believe those are far superior. They're faster, more convenient, and are almost always what makes my hands the most dry.

    I prefer hand towels over hand dryers because they are much more sanitary than the hand dryers that blow dust and bacteria onto your hands. I am allergic to dust and I can confirm that the hand dryers hold a lot of it as my eyes typically feel itchy after using one. They also just generally make you feel dirty, which is not something that you want walking out of a public bathroom.

      In the 21st century, there's a game for everyone. From shooting games to simple farming simulators it's almost impossible to not find a video game that interests you. One category of video games that I think is disliked by many for the wrong reasons is visual novel games. These games largely consist of dialogue and are often slow-paced and more relaxing compared to other genres. Zander 5: Why Do We Care About Remakes?

  A pattern I’ve begun to notice recently is that many of the most popular video games and movies often tend to be remakes of old pieces of media. While the most obvious examples of this would be the remakes of old Disney movies that have been released over the past several years, there are many more examples of this. For example, one of the most popular games this year was the remake of Resident Evil 4, and one of the most anticipated upcoming releases is the remake of Persona 3.
