Jasons Lewin's Week 9: Fortnite !

Fortnite battle royal, has 500 million registered users, have generated a revenue of over $26 billion to date, and continues to hold its position as one of the most popular battle royale games. It was created in 2017 and has grown exponentially until now. The company that created this game, along with many other games is Epic games. I used to love playing Fortnite when I would wake up late at night. It was so fun connecting with all my friends and all of us playing and talking together from different gaming consoles. I originally started playing on xbox, and then Nintendo, and then keyboard and mouse.

Last weekend, Fortnite brought back the old map, all the old weapons, and it was a blast. They had the largest number of players they have had in a while. For example, me and all my friends who haven't played the game in over a year, all decided to redownload the game, log online, buy the battle pass, and play together all weekend.

Fortnite is free to download, has frequent map changes, and exhilarating in-game events that keeps players on the edge of their seats and eager to explore what's next. They do in-game collaborations with famous actors, artists, sports players, and popular social media influencers. Fortnite became so popular, so fast because there is no blood, it's appropriate and fun for all ages, bridges the gap between casual and competitive gaming, and who wouldn't download a free game and try it if it seems fun. In my opinion, Fortnite is a testament to the transformative power of interactive entertainment in the last 6 years.

  1. This is an interesting blog! I think it's really nice that they have brought back all the old maps and features. I have played Fortnite once and it was pretty fun although I'm not too good at it.
