Netflix or Prime Video - Week 9
Netflix or Prime Video?
Netflix and Prime Video are streaming apps where you can watch all your favorite movies and TV series. However, which one is better, and which one should you subscribe to? Prime Video is owned by Amazon and has over 200 million users. A Prime Video subscription is 14.99 dollars a month and 139 per year. Prime Video has various popular movies and TV shows like Spiderman, The Menu, and Batman. All the movies and TV shows are categorized by their genre; they have horror, romance, comedy, and every other great genre you can think of. New content is uploaded almost every day to Prime Video, which can ensure that newer media can come out. Although Prime Video has all these qualities, is it better than Netflix? Prime Video still requires extra purchases to watch all movies and television. Prime Video has a larger selection than Netflix; however, Prime Video is not inclusive. Netflix is a popular streaming company that has a large selection of movies, TV shows, and short films. All the movies are categorized by their genre and also by age. You have the generic genres and also a kids section. The kid's section is filtered to be child-friendly, which will secure what your child will watch and make sure that they aren't watching anything out of their age range. Netflix has over 284 million users, which is increasing each day. Netflix has different subscription plans; however, a typical subscription costs anywhere from $6.99 to $19.99 per month. A Netflix subscription is not only cheaper than Prime Video, but it is all-inclusive. Unlike Prime Video, all media is available to the user with no extra charges. While both of these streaming platforms are great in their own ways, Netflix is becoming increasingly better. Netflix is cheaper, more inclusive, and has a selection that only has the best and most favorite movies and shows uploaded.
I personally have both Netflix and Prime Video and I feel that I use both equally. However, I do get annoyed whenever I use Prime Video and I have to pay extra. Since I am already paying to use the platform, why should I pay even more to watch a specific movie? On the other hand, Netflix has been lacking a lot of the movies or TV-shows that I want to watch. Recently, I feel like Netflix mostly has movies made by Netflix and very few options that are popular and that I want to watch. So, having both is beneficial for me, even though my parents might not be happy about paying for both.
ReplyDeleteWow, I learned a lot about these services. As for which one I like I like both. I think they both have their fair share of great shows. Sure one is more expensive, but without both you miss out on shows that are offered by them. While I understand how people think it is smarter to buy only Netflix as it is cheaper you're missing out on a whole world of tv shows.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blog and I learned alot about both these services that I didn't know. I have both of these steaming services and feel both of them have a good selection of movies and tv shows. I think the price doesn't matter because they have different varieties and genres of movies. I personally feel that netflix has a much better selection of movies but prime has a better selection of tv shows.
ReplyDeleteI personally use both of these streaming services, and I much prefer netflix. The benefit of Amazon prime is its extremely large selection of movies and shows; however, its downfall is that the popular content is usually behind a second pay wall, so it ends up being a lot more expensive if you choose to utilize its large selection. Netflix on the other hand has a smaller selection but watching its content comes at no extra cost making it the better streaming service for your money.
